About
Who we are
We are grateful that you want to know more about us. We are a body of believers that strive to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples as Servants of Christ. Whether you are seeking God for the first time or you are a long time member, at Middle Georgia Christian Church, we hope that you will find a warm atmosphere with great fellowship, an inspiring word being preached and God providing guidance towards His will through Jesus and the members of his Church.
What we believe
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God: “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 16:15-17).
We believe that Jesus was crucified, died, was buried, and resurrected on the third day: “The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked, flogged, and crucified, and He will be resurrected on the third day.” (Matthew 20:18-19)

We believe that loving God and others are our top priority: Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ (Matthew 22:37-39).

We believe our mission is to seek and save “The Lost”: Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20).

We believe that after a thorough and careful examination of the scriptures through a series of Bible studies, people will come to the realization that Jesus’s sacrifice demands a response and therefore baptism is an essential part of salvation: “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” (Acts 2:36-39).

We believe that faith is necessary for salvation and is a gift from God: “For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift, not from works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
